Phillies Vs. Astros: Houston Tries To Bounce Back Against Philadelphia

Stay connected for news and updates

The Houston Astros resume their four-game weekend series with the Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday evening when the two teams meet at Minute Maid Park.

After snapping Philadelphia's six-game winning streak to open the series on Thursday, the Astros were overwhelmed by the Phillies' offense on Friday in a 12-6 loss.

Houston expects to start left-hander Dallas Keuchel (1-7, 5.35 ERA) on the mound in the third game. Keuchel has not won a game in his last four starts, including a no decision in his last start against Chicago when he gave up six hits and one run in four innings.

Philadelphia will counter with right-hander Kyle Kendrick (9-10, 3.83 ERA) who has been strong of late for the Phillies. Kendrick is 5-1 in his last six starts, including a win in his last outing against Miami. He pitched seven innings while giving up just two hits, one run and striking out eight Marlins.

The game is scheduled to start at 6:05 p.m. CT.
