After falling to Southern Miss in the Conference USA title game, the Houston Cougars are headed to the Ticket City Bowl to take on Penn State.
Houston's punishment for losing the Conference USA title game to Southern Miss is a trip to the Ticket City Bowl against Penn State on January 2 in Dallas.

The Cougars had won 12 straight games before falling to Southern Miss on Saturday and had been in line to receive an at-large bid to a BCS bowl game had they took the Conference USA title. They are the nation's leader in Points per game and total yards.
Penn State's football program has been rocked by the Jerry Sandusky controversy that eventually led to Joe Paterno's departure from the program. The Nittany Lions have dropped two of their last three games under interim coach Tom Bradley.
