Alvaro Fernandez converted a penalty kick in the 37th minute to pull a goal back on Houston’s lead. The penalty kick was given after Dynamo defender Corey Ashe kicked out and fouled Fredy Montero in Houston’s box. Montero may have made the most of the foul, but it was definitely a foul.
