The Houston Dynamo ended their five-game losing streak as they defeated Real Salt Lake at home 1-0 on Thursday night. The game was scoreless for most of the match as the defenses form both sides were very stout.
The first and best chance for the Dynamo to score at the 75th minute when Houston was awarded a penalty shot but Brad Davis came up short which kept the game tied at zero.
The game winning goal came in extra time at the 94th minute when the Dynamo were issued a penalty shot when Macoumba Kandji was fouled in the penalty area. This time Colin Clark was able to get the ball past Real Salt Lake goalie Nick Rimando.
