According to a source, the Nets are also trying to pry Danilo Gallinari from the Nuggets and point guard Aaron Brooks from the Rockets. However, Nuggets GM Masai Uriji told NBA.com Monday night that he will not trade Gallinari or Mozgov. The Nets have also engaged the Trailblazers in discussions for months about taking Harris. In return, the Nets would receive veteran point guard Andre Miller and, possibly, Rudy Fernandez, along with a draft pick.
The Nets would seem to have quite a few long-term assets that the Rockets would find valuable. While Derrick Favors is probably beyond the grasp of what the Rockets could get for just Brooks alone, the Nets do have a slew of first round picks that could be up for grabs. They’ve also been dangling Devin Harris around, and those two players are so similar that perhaps they could be components in a three-team deal.
