Trail Blazers Vs. Rockets Final Score: Houston Hangs On To Defeat Portland 107-105 In Overtime

Kyle Lowry scored 33 points to help the Houston Rockets hang on to defeat the Portland Trailblazers 107-105 in overtime Saturday night at the Toyota Center.

The Houston Rockets grabbed a much needed win Saturday night by holding off the Portland Trail Blazers 107-105 in overtime. The win was the Rockets' second straight and improves their record to 5-7 on the season.

Kyle Lowry scored 33 points including a crucial three-pointer that temporarily gave the Rockets a 97-95 lead with 31 seconds remaining. LaMarcus Aldridge answered back for Portland with his own jumper with 23 seconds left to effectively send the game into overtime.

Houston took an early advantage in the extra session and Kevin Martin made four clutch free throws down the stretch to secure the win. After the game, Rockets coach Kevin McHale praised his team's rebounding effort against an athletic Trail Blazers team.

"I'll tell you what we did," McHale said. "We did a pretty good job of rebounding the ball against a real active team and Kyle, Kevin and Chase (Budinger) really stepped up big because we were having problems getting offense out of other places."

Lowry led the way for the Rockets finishing with 33 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. Kevin Martin struggled from long range (0-6) but made up for it by going 12-13 from the free throw line to finish with 28 points. Chase Budinger added 18 points for the Rockets.

Nicolas Batum led the Blazers with 29 points including 6-7 shooting from three-point range. LaMarcus Aldridge finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds while Raymond Felton added 13 points and five assists.
