From all indications, things did not end harmoniously between former Houston Rockets head coach Rick Adelman and the team's leadership. Adelman, a storied and winning head coach in the NBA, did not take kindly to how his exit was handled last season by the Rockets.
And, he took out a bit of that displeasure by showing up his old team on its home court. Most of the articles I read last night talked about Adelman being extra animated on the sidelines during the game, especially in the third quarter when the T'wolves built up a 17-point lead.
Was his exit Leslie Alexander's fault? Adelman seemed to take numerous digs at the Rockets owner last night. Was it Morey, who chose to go with a less successful coach in Kevin McHale, but still had a cordial conversation with Adelman before the game.
We won't probably know the full story for a while, if ever, but it looks like with or without Adelman, the Rockets may fail to make the playoffs yet again. After pulling within a half-game of first place, the bad loss to Minnesota hurt.
Does his behavior change your opinion of Adelman's tenure with the Rockets? Do you side with him being bitter at the way he was let go?
