The Rockets play their only game of the weekend on Friday night against the New York Knicks, their second game in a three game homestand.
The Houston Rockets have a light weekend schedule, as their only action comes on Friday night when they host the New York Knicks. The Rockets are coming off a 93-89 win over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night, their first of a three-game homestand over the next week.
The Knicks come into Houston with a 2-2 record in their last four games after starting the season 6-0. The biggest focus of the game will be the matchup of Carmelo Anthony and James Harden, even though the two won't really be guarding each other. The job of guarding Anthony will go to Patrick Patterson and Omer Asik, and will be a team effort. Anthony is fifth in the NBA in scoring at 24.1 points per game (one spot behind Harden's 24.5 ppg), and is doing much more of his scoring down low than previously in his career.
