The Houston Rockets (17-13) and Minnesota Timberwolves will meet Friday with the subplot of Kevin Love and Luis Scola taking center stage. Just 13 days ago the Rockets lost to the T-Wolves 100-91, a game best remembered for Love's hard foul of Scola (stepping on Scola after knocking him to the ground on a drive). Love denied that the move was retribution for a hard pass from Scola to Love's groin in a game in late January.
The intense games have served Love well - he's averaging 31 points a game against Houston this season. Houston enters the game after an upset of Western Conference leading Oklahoma City 96-95 on Wednesday, where Kevin Martin matched his season high with 32 points and hit two game-winning free throws.

Rockets Vs. Timberwolves Final Score: Houston Falls To Minnesota For Third Time This Year, 111-98
For the third time this season the Houston Rockets fell to the Minnesota Timberwolves 111-98. The Timberwolves Kevin Love and Nikola Pekovic could not be stopped Friday night with Love scored 33 points and had 14 rebounds while Pekovic had 30 points and 12 rebounds. Ricky Rubio also helped out with 18 points for the Timberwolves.
The Rockets did not play bad but they were unable to keep pace with the Timberwolves on offense. They had five players in double figures with Chandler Parsons leading the way with 18 points, but the Timberwolves shot 56 percent compared to the Rockets 47 percent. The Rockets did try to stay in the game with their three-point shooting by gong 10-of-20, but the Timberwolves were able to counter that by going 20-of-23 from the free throw line.
The loss drops the Rockets record to 17-14 and a tie with the Memphis Grizzlies for fourth place in the Southwest Division.
