Houston Rockets forward Jordan Hill will be out of action for at least two weeks after suffering a knee injury during Saturday's practice.

Houston Rockets forward Jordan Hill suffered an injury to his right knee on Saturday and is expected to miss at least two weeks. Hill was evaluated by the team's orthopedic surgeon Walter Lowe who determined the injury a sprained medial collateral ligament.

Hill has appeared in 29 games for the Rockets while starting seven. He is averaging five points and 4.9 rebounds per game this season.

The injury to Hill weakens the Rockets front court. Samuel Dalembert and Luis Scola are the starters with Hill and Patrick Patterson filling in primarily off the bench. Without Hill available former first-round pick Hasheem Thabeet or the newly signed Greg Smith could be in line to receive some action.

Smith was assigned to the NBA Development league earlier this month but the Rockets recalled him to the team in the wake of Hill's injury.
