With all the lockout mess, it's easy to forget that Houston could be hosting the NBA All-Star game next season. When it was first announced, we surmised that it could be the first one after the damaging lockout.
Luckily, the lockout didn't claim a whole season and just pushed this year's game back a bit. That means Houston's will be the just another All-Star game, with the one exception that it will be part of an actual, full season instead of this scrunched up, half season thing.
Is it exciting that Houston will be hosting an All-Star Game? More importantly, will Houston actually have an All-Star by next season?
I'm unsure on both points. Tune in Wednesday, though for:
The NBA has called for "a major NBA announcement" Wednesday at Toyota Center with Houston Mayor Annise Parker, Rockets CEO Tad Brown and NBA commissioner David Stern to appear.
As per Feigen, here's where certain events will be played, too...
The All-Star Jam Session will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center with the NBA Rookie Challenge and the All-Star Saturday Night events at Toyota Center.
