Kyle Lowry Injury Update: Rockets Guard Expected To Be In Starting Lineup

Rockets' point guard Kyle Lowry is expected to return to the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Phoenix Suns.

Feb 9, 2012 - The Houston Rockets are expected to have Kyle Lowry back in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Phoenix Suns.

Lowry was injured in the third quarter of Wednesday night's win over the Portland Trail Blazers when he strained his elbow on a pass attempt. Lowry immediately left the game, headed to the locker room and did not return. Goran Dragic stepped in for Lowry and finished with 10 points and three assists in 22 minutes of action.

Lowry is having a solid season for the Rockets averaging 14.8 points, 7.9 assists and 5.8 rebounds per game at the point guard position. Despite the excellent numbers, Lowry was not among those players that were selected as reserves for the 2012 NBA All-Star Game.
