NBA Trade Rumors: Rockets Spoke To Timberwolves About Michael Beasley

According to FOX Sports' Sam Amico, the Houston Rockets have spoken to the Minnesota Timberwolves about a possible trade for Michael Beasley, who the Wolves are likely looking to move the forward and his $6.2 million price tag to make room for up-and-coming forward Derrick Williams.

According to multiple FOX Sports Ohio sources, the Wolves have already spoken with New Jersey, Houston and the L.A. Lakers about Beasley. While both teams are said to still be open to a deal, it appears Beasley's most likely landing spot, for the time being, is Boston.

Beasley is in his fourth season in the NBA, his second with the Timberwolves, and is averaging a career low 12.8 points per game and a career low of 5.3 rebounds per game. He's only 23 years old and could help a team, like the Rockets, in the second half of the 2012 season, but he also has some past off-court issues that could scare some teams away.
