Rockets Vs. Suns Final Score: Houston Falls To Phoenix, 99-86

The Houston Rockets sure could have used Kevin Martin Sunday evening when they lost to the Phoenix Suns 99-86. Martin's replacement in the starting lineup has been Courtney Lee over the past four games, and prior to this one he had been averaging 18.3 points per game. However, against the Suns he was 0-8 from the field and his only two points on the night came from the free throw line.

The Rockets fell behind after a slow first quarter where they trailed by 13 points and could never recover from that deficit, but after that the Rockets played the Suns even the rest of the way. Part of the reason the Rockets fell behind was because of Michael Redd who came off the bench to go 10-of-13 and score 25 points which was a season high.

Another factor is that the Rockets made a single three-point shots compared to seven by the Suns. The Rockets have five players in double figures and the newly acquired Marcus Camby had eight points and eight rebounds, but it was not enough to beat the Suns.

Kevin Martin To Miss Fourth Straight Game With Shoulder Injury

The Houston Rockets will once again be without starting guard Kevin Martin who is missing tonight's game against the Phoenix Suns, according to the Houston Chronicle's Jonathan Feigen. This will be the fourth straight game that Martin has missed and there is no timetable for his return as he is considered day-to-day.

In Martin's absence the Rockets have gone 2-1 with the only loss being Saturday against the Los Angeles Clippers. Courtney Lee has been starting in place of the injured Martin over the past three games and in that time he has averaged 18.3 points. Against the Clippers, Lee went off for 25 points, made four three-points shots, had five rebounds and zero turnovers in 40 minutes.

Rockets Vs. Suns: Marcus Camby Expected To Make Debut

Newly acquired center Marcus Camby is expected to make his debut for the Houston Rockets during Sunday's game against the Phoenix Suns.

Camby was acquired in a trade with the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for Jonny Flynn and Hasheem Thabeet. Camby was not in uniform for Houston's 95-91 loss to the Clippers on Saturday as he was awaiting Thabeet and Flynn arrival in Portland and their impending physicals before the trade could be finalized.

Jordan Hill was moved in a separate deadline deal and Camby is expected to provide depth to the frontcourt behind Samuel Dalembert and Luis Scola. The Rockets have been playing shorthanded with injuries to Kyle Lowry and Kevin Martin in the backcourt. Martin is reportedly feeling better but no decision has been made on his status for Sunday's game.
