Houston is clinging to the Western Conference's last playoff spot, and begin a long-needed home stretch against the Warriors starting Thursday night.
The Rockets have won four of their last 12 games, but are still alive (barely) in the NBA's Western Conference Playoffs, holding a half-game lead over ninth-place Utah. The Rockets (25-22) start a home stretch Thursday with the Warriors, which could help turn around Houston's problems. The Rockets have won six straight at the Toyota Center, and are alive in the playoff race by virtue of their play at home (17-6 at home this season).
Houston committed 19 turnovers in their last meeting with Golden State, a 106-97 loss in Oakland on February 12, but have won six straight home games against the Warriors by an average of 15.1 points.
