The Houston Rockets and Phoenix Suns are in a race for their playoff livelihoods.
The battle for those final playoff spots in the Western Conference are getting more and more intense as the regular season gets closer to reaching its end. The Houston Rockets are holding down the seventh spot with just a two-game lead over their Friday night opponent, the 10th-place Phoenix Suns.
Actually, the Rockets are tied for seventh place with the Denver Nuggets and sit only a half game ahead of the Utah Jazz, who just defeated them on Wednesday, 103-91. Houston and Phoenix go head-to-head for the third time this season while the teams have split the previous two meetings.
The Dream Shake Blog considers this a must-win game, especially considering that the Rockets did themselves no favors by losing to the Jazz earlier in the week.
The Rockets can get it back tonight. Obviously the loss to the Jazz is killer, but if you want to make the playoffs you have to be able to bounce back against anyone.
Here is a look at the game schedule and television information for the Rockets game:
Date/Time: Friday, April 13, 7 p.m.
Location: Toyota Center, Houston, Texas
TV: ESPN
