Stay connected for news and updates

The first half of this game saw the Houston Rockets leading the Denver Nuggets by nine points, but in the second half a completely different Rockets team came out and struggled mightily and lost 101-86. The loss puts the Rockets in the No. 8 spot in the Western Conference and only 1.5 games ahead of the Phoenix Suns.

The Nuggets offense came alive in the third quarter while the Rockets offense went the opposite direction which led to the Nuggets outscoring the Rockets by 18 points to take a 12-point lead heading into the fourth quarter. In the final quarter the Rockets were able to play better, but they could not make any type of run to get back in this game.

The Rockets ended up shooting only 36 percent from the field with Luis Scola and Chase Budinger leading the way with 19 points each. The Nuggets just under 50 percent, but their scoring came alive as six players scored in double figures with Ty Lawson and Arron Afflalo each putting up 20 points.
