NBA Mock Draft 2012: Rockets Take Jared Sullinger At No. 14

Stay connected for news and updates

There has been a lot of discussion that the Houston Rockets might trade their picks for Dwight Howard, but if they do keep them, Stephen Alexander of Rotoworld sees the team taking Jared Sullinger at No. 14.

Marcus Camby wants to come back to the Rockets, while Samuel Dalembert will also be back. The Rockets are still trying to replace Yao Ming, and Kevin McHale is not a big Dalembert fan. And with Camby’s constant injury concerns, combined with the fact that Sullinger should be able to play both PF and C, makes him a logical pick at No. 14.

Concerns about Sullinger's back has likely dropped him from the lottery.

With the No. 16 pick, Alexander has the Rockets taking Syracuse's Dion Waiters. The shooting guard was the Orange's sixth man, but he figures to be a scorer in the NBA.
