Dwight Howard Trade Rumors: Rockets, Magic Talks At A Standstill, According To A Report

The Houston Rockets have been actively adjusting their roster in hopes that they can swing a deal to land All-Star center Dwight Howard from the Orlando Magic. The latest move was using the amnesty clause to waive Luis Scola which would clear $7 million of cap room for the upcoming season.

However, as of Friday night the Magic and Rockets have not spoken about a Howard deal according to NBA.com's David Aldridge. One source is saying that talks between the two tams are not active with another source saying "there's nothing happening."

This report contradicts one by ESPN that says the Rockets have restructured their offer to the Magic Friday night:

[The Rockets] are now able to absorb the contracts of Glen Davis, Jason Richardson and Chris Duhon -- in addition to offering Orlando various combinations of future first-round draft picks and players drafted in the first round by Houston last month -- to give the Magic an opportunity to wipe their payroll virtually clean for their post-Howard rebuilding effort.
