Jeremy Lin Officially Joins Houston Rockets, Daryl Morey Announces

Linsanity is officially coming to Houston.

After earlier reports that the New York Knicks would not match Houston's offer sheet for Lin, Rockets GM Daryl Morey confirmed the move.

Lin also confirmed his move to Houston on Twitter.

This officially ends a dramatic saga that had unfolded over recent weeks. The Knicks had longed vowed to match any offer sheet for the popular Lin, but the Rockets put in what some have called a "poison pill," by offering Lin $14.8 million in the third and final year of the contract, which would have made the Knicks subject to the luxury tax.

But once the Knicks acquired Raymond Felton, the writing appeared to be on the wall for Lin's future in New York. Now, the point guard returns to his old NBA team with a boatload more confidence — and money.
