ESPN's Marc Stein is reporting that the Rockets and Goran Dragic are far apart in negotiations and the organization has become pessimistic about signing the unrestricted free agent this summer. Stein cites a source that believes the lefty who averaged 16.3 points, 7.3 assists in 32 games after the All-Star break with the Kyle Lowry injury won't be returning to the Rockets after leaving Houston on Monday without a deal getting done.

Apparently, Dragic is looking for $10 million a year for the promise he showed in that short period of time. He wants to start and play an influential role with whatever team he ends up with. It seemed as if the Rockets were going to grant him that wish, considering the somewhat tumultuous and uncertain situation with Lowry. Now, the point guard position is as unsure as it's been in years.
