New York Knicks Plan To Match Offer Sheet For Jeremy Lin

As expected, the New York Knicks are planning on matching the four-year, $30-million offer sheet for point guard Jeremy Lin, according to Alex Kennedy of Hoops World.

The Rockets have been high on Lin's availability for a while, and the sides agreed to terms earlier on Thursday with a backloaded contract. But New York vowed that it would match the offer for Lin, who created a worldwide buzz for the Knicks midway through this past season.

So while Lin was able to get a sizable contract, it likely is going to be paid by New York. Although the Knicks just signed Jason Kidd, it appears they also want to hold on to "Linsanity."
