Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson underwent a procedure Tuesday to prevent scar tissue from forming around a small tear in his right hamstring and will miss an estimated three games, including this Sunday's match-up against Oakland.
Of those possible three games, the Chronicle's John McClain is confident that the Texans can still beat the Raiders this Sunday - Houston is 3-1 with Johnson vs. Oakland, and 2-0 without him - but the looming Ravens could prove to be problematic if Johnson's absence turns Houston one-dimensional. In addition, Johnson's absence against the Tennessee Titans in three weeks would hurt, as the All-Pro wideout has thrived against Tennessee (9 TDs and over 1,000 yards receiving in 14 games).
Meanwhile, fantasy owners are in a bit of a panic: Johnson's absence is obviously a huge blow for fantasy owners, and there's even a debate (for and against) that the Texans offense minus Johnson could cause Arian Foster's numbers to drop, regardless of his own hamstring issues.
