Stay connected for news and updates

The 6-1 Houston Texans lead the 3-4 Buffalo Bills by a touchdown after one quarter at Reliant Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The only score of the game, a 39-yard connection between Matt Schaub and Owen Daniels, made it 7-0 with just 44 seconds to go in the opening period. The touchdown ended a four-play, 77-yard drive that took exactly two minutes to transpire.

Overall, Schaub is 5-of-8 passing for 84 yards. Daniels and Andre Johnson both had two receptions. Adrian Foster has all 41 rushing yards for the Texans on six carries.

Buffalo quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, meanwhile, is 3-of-5 for 23 yards. The Bills have just three yards rushing.

Neither team turned the ball over in the first quarter, but the Texans did have three penalties, which costed them 17 yards.

The two teams have also yet to reach the red zone in what has been a defensive struggle so far in Houston.
