Brett Davis-US PRESSWIRE

The Texans are banged up again, with 16 players appearing on this week's injury report. DT Shaun Cody and TE Owen Daniels are among four who did not participate in practice on Wednesday.

Houston Texans defensive tackle Shaun Cody and tight end Owen Daniels are among four players listed as non-participants in Wednesday's practice on the team's initial Week 10 injury report.

Cody suffered broken ribs and a punctured lung in Sunday's win over the Buffalo Bills, while Daniels apparently has a back issue. Daniels has appeared on the injury report with separate hamstring and thigh issues in recent weeks, as well.

Running back Ben Tate (hamstring) and wide receiver Kevin Walter (groin) were also held out of Wednesday's practice. Starting tailback Arian Foster (non-injury), defensive end Antonio Smith (ankle) and cornerbacks Johnathan Joseph (quadricep) and Brice McCain (knee) were limited participants on Wednesday.

Eight other players, including starting left guard Wade Smith (knee), are listed on the report but were full participants in practice. To view the full injury report, click here.

The banged-up Texans will face the Chicago Bears in a meeting of 7-1 teams on Sunday night. Kickoff is set for 7:20 p.m. CT, and the game will be broadcast nationally on NBC.
