2012 NFL Mock Draft: Sporting News Has Texans Taking Alshon Jeffery

It is starting to took more and more like the Houston Texans will be selecting a wide receiver with their first pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. The Texans have been projected to take different wide receivers among various mock drafts and Russ Lande of the Sporting News has the Texans taking Alshon Jeffery from South Carolina:

26. Houston Texans: Alshon Jeffery, WR, South Carolina Gamecocks: The Texans' passing attack struggled greatly when Andre Johnson was not in the lineup. Jeffery has the size (6-4, 233), strength and rare ball skills to be an excellent complement to Johnson.

Other wide receivers in addition Jeffery that the Texans have been projected to take are Notre Dame's Michael Floyd, Rutgers Mohamed Sanu, Baylor's Kendall Wright and LSU's Rueben Randle.
