2012 NFL Mock Draft: Texans Still Likely To Take WR

Stay connected for news and updates

Not much has change from where the Houston Texans stand in the 2012 NFL Draft. Houston is still looking to upgrade its complimentary wide receiver position, which is likely to be done with the selection Baylor wide-out Kendall Wright.

The Texans have the 26th overall pick in the draft and if they were to select Wright, he would be the second Baylor Bears player to go in the second round, since Heisman Trophy Winner Robert Griffin III is considered by the experts to be for sure No. 2 pick by the Washington Redskins.

Wright did not have the most impressive 40 times at the NFL combine, but has shown to be an explosive receiver in actual games against defenses. Wright may only run around a 4.6 in drills, at Baylor he managed to catch 108 balls for 1,663 receiving yards, which resulted in 14 touchdowns in 2011.
