NFL Free Agency 2012: Lawrence Vickers Cut By Texans, According To Report

Stay connected for news and updates

The Houston Texans are preparing for free agency. The team will be making plenty of tough decisions over the next weeks leading up to the 2012 NFL Draft and beyond, as they attempt to solidify a squad for the 2012 season. It appears they've made at least one move before free agency has even begun.

ProFootBallTalk reports that The Texans have cut fullback Lawrence Vickers just a few hours before free agency opens on Tuesday.

Vickers was a Pro Bowl selection with the Cleveland Browns in 2008, but was only with the Texans for the 2011 season. He was signed by Houston as an attempt to replace to departing Vonta Leach, but did not work out quite as well as the team had hoped.
