2012 NFL Mock Draft: Texans Still Predicted To Select Wide Receiver Kendall Wright In First Round

All of the mock drafts are beginning to blend together, at least that's what Houston Texans fans must be thinking, because they are predicted to select from the same position in almost every mock. Sports Illustrated's latest mock draft, put together by Don Banks, is no different. Banks predicts that the Texans will select Baylor Bears wide receiver Kendall Wright with their 26th overall pick.

Robert Griffin's favorite target helped himself considerably by running in the 4.4s at the Bears' pro day this week, far better than his 4.61 at the combine. The Texans could use a right tackle to replace the released Eric Winston, but most of the first-round tackles are gone and Wright is the kind of playmaker Houston needs opposite Andre Johnson.

The Texans are in need of another wide receiver on the team. Andre Johnson could use somebody to take a little attention off of him and since Johnson has had some injury problems lately, the team could use another option at wide receiver if Johnson is out. The combination of Johnson and Wright together could be a scary combination for opposing secondaries and should help quarterback Matt Schaub move the ball down the field.
