2012 NFL Mock Draft: Texans Select Mohamed Sanu In PFT's Latest

The Houston Texans already selected a pass rusher in Whitney Mercilus in the first round to help replace the void that Mario Williams left when he bolted for the Buffalo Bills this offseason. Now they could seek to land another playmaker opposite Andre Johnson in the passing attack in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Pro Football Talk has their second round mock out and the choice for the Texans is Mohamed Sanu of Rutgers.

Evan Silva writes, "Sanu is a sure-handed, chain-moving possession threat." It's a short description, but he would be a solid addition for the Texans offense. Wes Bunting of the National Football Post likens him to Hakeem Nicks of the New York Giants and writes, "Isn't as NFL ready [as Nicks], but can go get the football, breakdown and separate on all levels of the field. Looks like a future NFL starter who might need some time, but the talent is most definitely there."

The Texans have pick No. 58 overall as their next on the board.
