2012 NFL Draft Grades: Houston Texans Earn "C" Through 3rd Round

Stay connected for news and updates

The Houston Texans came into the 2012 NFL Draft relatively healthy, but certainly there were places the team hoped to address in the first three rounds. Whitney Mercilus gives the team another pass rusher in the absence of Mario Williams, who bolted to the Buffalo Bills in free agency, but the Texans have yet to address right tackle after Eric Winston left. That earns them a "C" grade from SB Nation's Joel Thorman after day two.

Thorman writes, "Whitney Mercilus has some boom-or-bust question marks. No 2nd round pick. Brandon Brooks was a rising offensive lineman, who didn't attend the Combine."
