Texans Undrafted Free Agents 2012: Houston Has Signed 9 So Far

The Houston Texans are like most teams and are feverishly signing players that did not get drafted. The Texans have already signed Case Keenum to a deal and as of now eight other players to free agent deals. The selections continue to favor the wide receiver and defensive positions.

Desmond Marrow, FS, Toledo - He is injury prone as he missed the 2007 and 2009 seasons with injury, but he was the No. 1 cornerback for the Toledo Rockets his senior season and had 15 pass break ups, three interceptions and 83 total tackles.

Jerrell Jackson, WR, Missouri - Jackson saw action in 11 games and was fifth on the team in receiving with 222 yards and one touchdown, but he did average 13.1 yards per reception.

• Shawn Loiseau, LB, Merrimack - Loiseau went to the small Northeast Conference school due to a fight out of high school which scared larger schools away. At his time at Merrimack he showed NFL-like skills and is an explosive player who can excel in multiple defensive sets.

• DJ Bryant, DE, James Madison - Bryant was a three-year starter and earned all-conference honors as a senior after totaling 48 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks.

Logan Brock, TE, TCU - Brook was a 2011 honorable Mountain West all-conference player while hauling in 11 receptions for 123 yards and three touchdowns.

• Mario Louis, WR, Grambling State - Louis had a great senior year at Grambling by catching 51 passes for 1,129 yards and scored 18 touchdowns en route to the league championship. He is a fast wide receiver with a 4.56, 40-yard dash and a 36 inch vertical.

• Nate Menkin, OT, Mary Hardin-Baylor - Menkin was named to the 2011 All-Southwest Conference first team and lineman of the year. He also was named to the Associated Press Little All-America second team while leading a offensive line in a rushing attack that averaged 291yards per game.

Davin Meggett, RB, Maryland - Megget has been compared to Jacquizz Rodgers as they both rely on vision and small size to sneak through the defense until they get a seam to break out. At Maryland Megget shared time in the backfield and in his senior year he rushed for 896 yards and four touchdowns.
