Houston Texans Re-Sign Quintin Demps

Stay connected for news and updates

The Houston Texans have lost a lot in free agency this year, most notably, Mario Williams, but they won't be losing one of their safeties. According to Adam Shefter, the Texans have re-signed Quintin Demps, who was non-tendered earlier this week.

Demps was released prior to Week 1 last year, but was re-signed halfway through the season. Demps appeared in nine games for the Texans, and worked as a backup safety and special teamer. Demps did register 23 tackles and intercepted two passes.

Terms of the deal are currently unknown, but the contract is certainly worth less than it would be had he been tendered by the Texans.
