Wade Phillips: Texans' Sophomore J.J. Watt Will Be A Hall Of Famer

If the annual NFL Draft wasn't littered with cautionary tales, horrible G.M. decisions and snubs that, in retrospect, are bemoaned by fan bases for years, it wouldn't be any fun to watch! (and Ryan Leaf would have three MVPs and a Super Bowl title).

Never mind, because Houston Texans defensive coordinator Wade Phillips is convinced his team not only drafted a worthy player with the 11th overall pick of the 2011 Draft, but a Hall Of Famer. For sure. No sweat now, J.J. Watt! Just coast right on through to Canton:

"(Watt's) going to be a bust -- not a first-round bust but a bust in the Hall of Fame," defensive coordinator Wade Phillips said Monday, via the Houston Chronicle. "The only players I've seen that can do what he can do with his intensity can be found in Canton."

Certainly Phillips' resume grants him more than a right to tout a player he likes, but after a single season - albeit a damn good one (56 tackles, 5.5 sacks, 16 starts) - Watt has a long way to go.
