Texans Vs. 49ers Final Score: Houston Wins Easy Over San Francisco, 20-9

Stay connected for news and updates

The Houston Texans beat the San Francisco 49ers 20-9 on Saturday Night at Reliant Stadium.

Matt Schaub and Arian Foster were both sharp, with Schaub going 11-for-14 for 128 yards and a touchdown in the first half and Foster adding 46 yards on 10 carries, but the Texans offense would struggle for most of the game without Schaub under center.

The Texans would cap an 80-yard touchdown drive in the second quarter when Schaub found receiver Lestar Jean in the end zone, giving the home team a 10-6 lead and the team's lone offensive touchdown of the game.

Both teams would trade field goals in the third quarter before Trindon Holliday would put the game away in the fourth quarter with an electrifying 87-yard punt return, giving the Texans a 20-9 lead with 10:55 remaining in the game.

Case Keenum, playing in his hometown, would go just 1-for-3 for 30 yards in limited action.
