Trindon Holliday Impresses In Texans' Victory Over 49ers

Stay connected for news and updates

Wide receiver Trindon Holliday shined in the Texans preseason match-up with the 49ers. Holliday returned a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown and totaled 182 total yards gained off punts and kickoffs. That score helped Houston top the 49ers 20-9 in both teams' second preseason game.

Coach Gary Kubiak cited blocking as the main reason for the success of the return game.

“We’re much better with our up-front guys in our kick return,’’ Kubiak said.

However, not all went well for Holliday. On one punt return, he failed to call for a fair catch at the necessary time, increasing the possibility of injury in a preseason game.

The Texans will travel to New Orleans for a Saturday matchup with the Saints. This will be the teams' third of four games this preseason.
