The Houston Texans look to start the NFL regular season with a win against the Miami Dolphins in Week 1.

The Houston Texans open Week 1 of the NFL regular season at home against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

Houston begins the season as the favorites to win the AFC South once again. Unlike last season, however, they hope to remain healthy enough through the regular season to make more noise in the playoffs. Health concerns are already an issue heading into the opener, though.

Starting running back Arian Foster is listed as questionable along with starting linebacker Brooks Reed. Foster is a big part of the Texans' offense and will be a game-time decision after MRI results on his knee were negative. But with long-term goals in mind, Houston may limit Foster if he plays at all in the first game.

Wade Philips will have his defense pressuring the Dolphins with a rookie quarterback behind center for Miami. Former Texas A&M QB, Ryan Tannehill will make his first NFL start back in Texas.

The Texans remain heavily favored to beat the Dolphins with the oddsmakers listing Houston as 14-point favorites. The game is scheduled to kickoff at 12:00 p.m. CT and will be televised on CBS, with Ian Eagle and Dan Founts calling the action.
