The Rice Owls will travel to Ruston, Louisiana on Saturday to face the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs.

Rice has provided lots of excitement so far in the first two football games it has played this year. An exciting 49-24 loss against the UCLA Bruins was followed by a thriller in Lawrence, Kan. when the Owls won 25-24 over the Jayhawks. They'll try and keep the fireworks going in a good way against Louisiana Tech on Saturday.

LA Tech comes into the game highly favored over the Owls after starting their season with a 56-49 win over the Houston Cougars. The Bulldogs running back tandem of Tevin King and Kenneth Dixon did most of the damage, with four touchdowns between the two of them. Rice's offense will be led by quarterback Taylor McHargue, who helped spark the comeback that won the Kansas game for the Owls.

Game time, TV channel: 6 p.m. CT, ESPN3

Point spread: Louisiana Tech favored by 21 points.
