The Owls head on the road looking for their first win of the season when they face Kansas.
The Rice Owls are taking on a BCS opponent for the second straight week, but this time they head on the road to face the Kansas Jayhawks. The Owls have had nine days off since their loss to the UCLA Bruins, while Kansas is fresh off beating South Dakota State this past week.
Rice will be looking to have a better performance this time around, but they will have to do so without running back Jeremy Eddington, who is out with a lower leg injury. However, they do get back starting running back Charles Ross, who missed the season opener after suffering a deep cut that required stitches in his lower leg.
Even with Ross returning to the lineup, the experts at the Houston Chronicle are all picking Kansas to get the win.
Game Time: Saturday, Sept. 7, 2:30 p.m. CT
Location: Lawrence, Kan., Memorial Stadium
TV: Fox Sports Net
Odds: Kansas favored by 10 points
