Texas A&M Vs. Oklahoma Final Score: Sooners Dominate Third, Win 41-25

Texas A&M tried to make a game of it late but couldn't overcome Oklahoma's dominant third quarter falling 41-25. The loss is the Aggies second straight and drops them to 5-3 overall this season. The Sooners improve to 7-1 on the season and 4-1 in the Big 12.

Texas A&M got fourth quarter touchdowns from Ben Malena and Cyrus Gray but they couldn't overcome the 28 point outburst by the Sooners in the third quarter. Both teams battled extremely windy conditions that at times wreaked havoc on both the passing games and kicking games.

Ryan Tannehill aired things out for the Aggies finishing 23 of 64 for 379 yards with a lot of those yards coming in the fourth quarter. Tannehill threw for two touchdowns and had three interceptions. Christine Michael finished with 17 carries for 88 yards and left the game mid-way through the third quarter with a knee injury. Ryan Swope hauled in eight catches for 149 yards including a 79 yard touchdown reception.

Landry Jones completed 18 of 28 for 255 yards and two touchdowns with both coming in the third quarter when Oklahoma put this game away. Roy Finch finished with 26 carries for 99 yards. The Sooners forced the Aggies into four turnovers in the game.

Oklahoma Vs. Texas A&M Score: Sooners Explode To 41-10 Lead

After seeing their lead cut to 13-10 just before the half, Oklahoma scored 28 unanswered points in the third quarter and now lead the Aggies by a score of 41-10. Texas A&M had seven possessions in the third quarter resulting in four punts, two interceptions and a missed field goal as the Sooner defense dug in substantially.

Landry Jones threw for two touchdowns in the quarter, one to Jaz Reynolds and the other to Kenny Stills. Roy Finch and Blake Bell added touchdown runs in the quarter. Jones has now completed 14 of 34 passes for 220 yards in some rather windy conditions in Oklahoma.

It has been a struggle for A&M quarterback Ryan Tannehill as he has battled the wind and the Oklahoma defense all day. Tannehill is 18 of 43 passes for 221 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions.

To add insult to injury, Aggies leading rusher Christine Michael suffered some sort of knee injury in the third quarter and left the game and will not return. Micahel had 17 carries for 88 yards in the game.

Oklahoma Vs. Texas A&M Halftime Score: Ryan Swope Touchdown Cuts Sooner Lead To 13-10

Texas A&M's defense came up with a couple of bend but don't break stops in the second quarter holding the Sooners to two field goals and Ryan Tannehill and the Aggies offense finally hit a home run on offense to cut Oklahoma's lead to 13-10.

Oklahoma kicker Michael Hunnicutt nailed two field goals of 29 and 39 yards in length which is no small feat given the windy conditions in Oklahoma today. Texas A&M hasn't been able to come up with a sustainable drive but finally broke through with a big play late in the second quarter. Ryan Tannehill scrambled out of the pocket and found Ryan Swope for a 79 yard touchdown that cut the lead to 13-10 heading into the second half.

The blustery conditions are wreaking havoc on both quarterbacks. Landry Jones has completed 10 of 26 passes for 112 yards and no touchdowns in the first half. His counterpart Ryan Tannehill is just 9 for 22 for 156 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Roy Finch leads Oklahoma on the ground with 45 yards on 11 carries while Christine Michael has 51 yards on 11 carries for the Aggies.

Oklahoma Vs. Texas A&M Score: Sooners Jump Out To 7-3 First Quarter Lead

Texas A&M got on the board first with a Randy Bullock 43 yard field goal but Oklahoma quickly answered back with a Blake Bell touchdown to give Oklahoma a 7-3 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Oklahoma took the opening kickoff and moved 39 yards in eight plays before a James Hanna fumble gave Texas A&M possession. The Aggies couldn't do a lot with their first drive and was forced to punt it back to the Sooners.

After a short punt by the Sooners, a 16 yard Ryan Tannehill pass to Ryan Swope set the Aggies up for a Randy Bullock 43 yard field goal and an early 3-0 lead. On the next possession, the Oklahoma offense started to find its rhythm as the Sooners marched 80 yards in just under three minutes resulting in a Blake Bell scoring run to make the score 7-3.

Oklahoma Vs. Texas A&M Game Time, TV Schedule And More

Things don't get any easier for Texas A&M as they will try to bounce back from last weekend's 38-31 overtime loss to Missouri with a trip to Norman to take on the Sooners. The Aggies are catching a break that they don't have to worry about Oklahoma running back Dominique Whaley who is out with an injury.

Texas A&M led Missouri last week by 11 at halftime but surrendered a second half rally thanks in large part to three turnovers.

"We didn't make the plays we needed to make when we needed to make them," coach Mike Sherman said. "It's definitely something we've got to talk about and get fixed."

There will be little margin for error this week against Oklahoma even with Whaley out. Landry Jones has thrown for over 3,000 yards including 505 yards in last week's victory over Kansas State.
