Texas A&M moved into the top 10 in the latest USA Today Coaches' Poll after its big win over Alabama on Saturday. LSU and Texas saw gains in the poll, as well.
The Texas A&M Aggies rose four spots to No. 10 in this week's USA Today Coaches' Poll after their 29-24 win over the previously top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday. Alabama slid to No. 5 in the rankings, with the Oregon Ducks taking over the top spot.
The Aggies debuted in the top 25 on Oct. 7, and have remained there ever since, even with a loss to the LSU Tigers on Oct. 20. A&M's current ranking is its highest of the season.
LSU moved up a spot to No. 8 after its 37-17 win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs, who fell out of the rankings and dropped to 7-3 on the season. The Texas Longhorns' 33-7 victory over the Iowa State Cyclones earned them a two-spot bump. They climbed to No. 15.
The undefeated Kansas State Wildcats and Notre Dame Fighting Irish each moved up a spot, to Nos. 2 and 3, respectively. The Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama round out the new top five.
