David Loubeau scored 16 points but Baylor knocked off Texas A&M by a score of 63-60.
The Texas A&M Aggies will prepare to host the No. 6 ranked Baylor Bears on Wednesday night as Billy Kennedy's short-handed Aggies play in their final scheduled meeting between their rival separated by less than 100 miles north.
The Aggies are down to just eight scholarship players on the season as two of their key stars are down with injuries. Khris Middleton is hurting with a knee injury while Dash Harris is day to day with a foot problem. The Aggies overcame their roster issues with a convincing 76-61 win over Oklahoma State and Kennedy gave his thoughts about their chances versus Baylor.
"We don’t know what the lineup will be like, so we’ll evaluate it in practice and see who gives us the best chance at the best start against Baylor," Kennedy said. "But the positive thing is all those guys have a lot more confidence than they had a couple of weeks ago. We’re going to need all that against Baylor."
Baylor (19-2, 6-2 Big 12) defeated Texas A&M 61-52 at home (12-8, 3-5) on Jan. 2nd.
