Texas A&M is a No. 3 seed in the 2012 NCAA Women's Tournament Bracket.
The Texas A&M Aggies captured a No. 3 seed in the 2012 NCAA Women's Tournament after finishing the regular season with a 22-10 record. The Aggies finished a distant second to undefeated Baylor in the Big 12 regular season standings going 11-7 in conference play and were runner-ups in the conference tournament. Their opponent in the first round will be 14th-seeded Albany who finished 23-9 and won the American East Conference Tournament.
Texas claims a No. 9 seed in the tournament and will take on 8th-seeded West Virginia in first-round action. The Longhorns finished 18-13 on the season and were 8-10 in Big 12 play. Texas suffered an 81-58 loss to Texas Tech in the first-round of the Big 12 Tournament. They will take on West Virginia who finished 23-9 and went 11-5 in Big East play. The Mountaineers fell to Notre Dame in the semifinals of the Big East Tournament.
