Texas A&M Freshman QB Johnny Manziel Arrested For Fighting

Texas A&M freshman quarterback Johnny Manziel was expected to be one of four quarterbacks vying to replace the departed Ryan Tanehill this coming season for Texas A&M. Manziel may have just removed himself from the equation as he was arrested early Friday morning for fighting, failure to identify and for having fake driver's licenses.

The fight began when Manziel's friend used a racial slur toward a 47-year-old African-American man. Once police arrived and broke up the fight, Manziel was arrested and booked into the Brazos County Jail. He was then released Friday afternoon after posting $6,435 bail, but not after having a shirtless mugshot.

The four players battling for the quarterback honors are Jameill Showers, sophomore Matt Joeckel, Manziel and freshman Matt Davis, who is a four-star recruit. Out of these players only Showers has actual game experience.
