The BCS Standings for Week 9 will be released on Sunday night at 8:15 p.m. Early BCS projections reveal that Oklahoma State should move into the No. 3 spot in the rankings just behind Alabama and LSU. The No. 3 slot is significant for the Cowboys because of LSU and Alabama's match up on Nov 5 with the loser likely to fall below Oklahoma State at least temporarily.
Projected BCS Standings, to be unveiled Sunday night on ESPN at 8:15 p.m. ET:
1. LSU, 2. Alabama, 3. Oklahoma State, 4. Clemson, 5. Stanford, 6. Boise State, 7. Arkansas, 8. Kansas State, 9. Oregon, 10. Oklahoma, 11. Nebraska, 12. Michigan State, 13. Wisconsin, 14. South Carolina, 15. Virginia Tech.
Kansas State also projects to jump to the No. 8 slot with the Sooners settling at No. 11 after their loss. If Oklahoma State can successfully run the table they are likely to earn a spot in the BCS Title game against the winner of LSU and Alabama. Should the Cowboys stumble, it is possible that we could see a rematch between LSU and Alabama for the National Championship.
