The Kansas State Wildcats remain unbeaten in conference play after beating up on West Virginia on Saturday. Meanwhile, the Texas Longhorns avoided being the fourth team in the Big 12 with a losing record in league action by winning over the weekend.
The Kansas State Wildcats stayed atop the Big 12 standings with their rout of the West Virginia Mountaineers on Saturday.
Behind quarterback Collin Klein, the No. 4 Wildcats rolled to a 55-14 victory over the No. 13 Mountaineers, who have fallen into a tie for fifth place in the conference. Elsewhere, the Texas Tech Red Raiders and Oklahoma Sooners vaulted to a tie for second by winning their respective games over the weekend. Oklahoma State is alone in fourth place, and a host of 2-2 teams, including the Texas Longhorns, are directly underneath the Cowboys in the standings.
The Baylor Bears and Kansas Jayhawks remain winless in conference play, while the Iowa State Cyclones are the only other team with a losing in-league record.
