As the calendar is set to flip to November, Kansas State has emerged as the team to beat in the Big 12 -- and currently leads the Big 12 by a game and a half.
After the first 10 weeks of the college football season, a clear favorite has emerged in the Big 12 conference: the Kansas State Wildcats.
Kansas State sits atop the Big 12 with a perfect 5-0 record in conference, and a perfect 8-0 overall. The Wildcats will receive another test on Saturday, when they host the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
Not only are the Wildcats atop the Big 12 conference, but they've emerged as a national power as well, as Bill Snyder's team is ranked No. 2 in the latest BCS rankings.
Oklahoma State and the Oklahoma Sooners are tied for second at 3-1 in conference. The two Oklahoma schools have yet to square off against each other, and won't until Nov. 24.
The Texas Longhorns, meanwhile, are tied for fourth with the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Texas and Texas Tech will meet this coming Saturday, as the two schools jockey for position in the Big 12.
