Mack Brown's Longhorns look to rebound from back-to-back disappointing seasons in 2012, and are ranked No. 21 in SB Nation's latest BlogPoll.
2012 figures to be an important year for Mack Brown and the Texas Longhorns. Though the Longhorns won the 2011 Holiday Bowl over the California Golden Bears, the team finished just 8-5, bringing Texas' last two-year win-loss total to an unimpressive 13-12. Regardless, the Longhorns are ranked in at No. 21 in SB Nation's latest BlogPoll, and appear to be ready for a rebound season -- at least according to the folks around the SB Nation network.
Texas is ranked ahead of some programs that are coming off recent success as well, such as Boise State and Oklahoma State -- but it should be noted that Texas did not lose that much talent to the 2012 NFL Draft, and should only improve in 2012.
The Longhorns will certainly get to measure themselves against new Big 12 opponents, as Texas has dates at home against both TCU and West Virginia.
Elsewhere, Texas A&M received votes but did not crack the top 25.
