The Texas Longhorns had no trouble with the New Mexico Lobos on Saturday night, winning 45-0. The Longhorns demolition of New Mexico saw Texas jump from No. 17 in last week's Associated Press Poll to No. 14 in this week's poll.

The Texas Longhorns had no trouble with the New Mexico Lobos on Saturday night, winning 45-0. The Longhorns demolition of New Mexico saw Texas jump from No. 17 in last week's Associated Press Poll to No. 14 in this week's poll.

Texas is one of five Big 12 teams in this week's poll: Oklahoma is No. 5, West Virginia is No. 9, Kansas State is No. 15, and TCU is NO. 16. Four other Big 12 teams fell in the "others receiving votes" category, led by Nebraska's 79 votes and Baylor's 54 votes.

Texas travels next weekend to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium to take on the Ole Miss Rebels.
