After defeating Nebraska on the road this weekend, the Texas Longhorns have returned to the ranks of the... well, ranked.
The BCS released their initial standings this week, as Oklahoma took home the top spot. TCU landed in the fifth slot, and Texas joined the party at No. 19.
Texas A&M dropped to 3-3 on the year with a home loss to Missouri. Unless they make a surprising conference run, they probably won't sniff this list for the remainder of the season.
As for the Houston Cougars, it looks like a BCS ranking is likely out of the question in 2010. Now, without a proven quarterback and with a shaky defense, they'll be fighting for a bowl berth. Nothing hurts more than losing to Rice, at least this season.
